SUBMISSION GRAPPLING ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT

The AVA VANCOUVER SUBMISSION GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP is a is a Central Tournament and will be ranked in the Season 2025 (1 x Placement Points)

SUMMARY 

AVA is a submission grappling Jiu-Jitsu robin tournament that offers the maximum number of matches to all competitors. Experience the pure form of grappling where submissions are the ultimate win.

Tournament Date:

  • Early Weigh-ins – To be annouced
  • Youths – Adults & Masters – March 8 | Doors open at 8am and the tournament starts at 9am
  • Spectator Entry per day: $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. This includes family and friends. Competitors aged 17 and under may bring ONE parent or guardian at no additional cost.
  • Location: Port Moody Secondary School | 300 Albert St, Port Moody, BC V3H 2M5

*Competitors: Please be at your mat number 10min before your scheduled first match.

REGISTRATION PRICES: 

· $80 Early Bird (Deadline January 5, 2025)

· $95 Normal (Deadline February 16, 2025)

· $110 Late (Deadline March 2, 2025)

· $50 for additional Divisions

*IMPORTANT: All registration requests AFTER late registration deadline will be accommodated at 15% increase of the late registration price. We reserve the right to decline service to anyone, as allowed by our regulations and policies.

REFUNDS AND CREDIT POLICY

1. Refunds and credits are available through self-service until the normal registration deadline. From the normal registration deadline until the late registration deadline, ONLY coupon credits will be provided as compensation.

2. Refunds and credits will not be available AFTER the late registration deadline.

3. Refunds and credits will not be issued for no-shows or withdrawal from participation due to sickness, injuries, or bereavement AFTER the registration closing date, regardless of supporting evidence.

4. If a participant is left without a match-up, they will receive a FULL REFUND or credit. Alternatively, they may choose to collect ranking points for the season along with the award.

ROUND ROBIN POINTS SYSTEM

Matches are won by submissions. The tournament is designed to incentivize submission wins in regulation time.

· Submission Victory in Regulation: Awarded 4 Points

· Submission Victory in Overtime: Awarded 2 Points

· Fastest Escape (Applies only to overtime): Awarded 1 Point

· Victory by Decision: Awarded 1 Point

· Walkover Victory (Walkover defined as due to injury, forfeit, or no show): Awarded 2 Points

· Victory by Disqualification: Awarded 3 Points

WHITE BELT 6 MONTHS & UNDER DIVISION

New to Jiu-jitsu? We have a 6 months and under White Belt Division to give new competitors the chance to compete fairly against other competitors new to Jiu-Jitsu.
